Manual Osteopathic Therapy implements a hands-on approach to the investigation and treatment of joint and soft tissue dysfunction. The whole body is examined and mechanical areas of dysfunction are located and treated whether symptoms are present or not.
Imbalances and dysfunctional body tissues are gently treated with a variety of soft tissue techniques with the aim of improving and restoring function. Joints may be mobilized; muscles & fascia may be manipulated and fluids in areas of congestion are often flushed. The goal of therapy is to decrease areas of tension in the body, improving tissue health and function and encouraging a feeling of relaxation and optimized wellness.
