We will cover topics related to infant feeding in the newborn stage, individually tailored to each client's learning goals. These topics may include:
- Tips on getting a great latch, and different feeding positions
- The Golden Hour and the benefits of skin to skin
- Breast milk, donor human milk, and formula
- Normal intake, output, and weight gain for a newborn
- Hand expression, pumping and breast milk storage
- Tips for bottle feeding and other artificial nipples
- Feeding after a C-section or complicated birth
- Engorgement, mastitis, milk blebs
- How your partner can support you and be a part of your baby's feeding journey
Partners are always welcome and even encouraged to participate in any of the consults!
