Dry Needling intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) is a modern approach that uses sterile, single-use disposable needles, with the main goal to release myofascial trigger points, and is effective for treating a multitude of musculoskeletal problems. This therapy relies on in-and-out needle insertion making this therapy different from acupuncture (in which the needle stay inserted in the skin for longer period of time.
