Labour Preparation and Induction Acupuncture Assessment
During your initial visit we will discuss your health history, birth plan and any concerns you may
have about your pregnancy and upcoming birth. We will come up with a treatment plan to
encourage a smooth and healthy labour. Labour prep treatments are encouraged once to twice
a week starting at week 37. Induction acupuncture can be done after reaching your due date
and given medical clearance from your primary care provider. Acupuncture is safe and effective
during all trimesters of pregnancy. This appointment includes an acupuncture treatment.
Both Yanzhi, our Registered Acupuncturist, and Dr. Alexa, our Naturopathic Doctor, provide this treatment. The billing for this service will be processed through your coverage based on the provider you receive the treatment from. Dr. Alexa's billing falls under the Naturopathic discipline, and Yanzhi's falls under the Acupuncturist discipline.
