Your first Visceral Manipulation session includes a comprehensive intake and assessment, creating space to understand your history, goals, and develop an individualised approach. This session helps lay the foundation for your ongoing care. Sessions begin with Craniosacral Therapy to help relax and regulate the nervous system before moving into gentle manual therapy focused on the abdominal organs and surrounding connective tissues, particularly the ligaments that support and anchor the organs within the body. These tissues can accumulate tension and restriction from stress, injury, surgery, and holding patterns, which may contribute to issues such as discomfort, postural imbalances, and impaired digestive or organ function. Visceral Manipulation supports improved mobility, alignment, function, and overall ease within the body. While still gentle, the touch used in this modality is slightly firmer than Craniosacral Therapy. You will remain fully clothed, primarily lying on your back on a massage table, with some techniques occasionally performed side-lying or seated.
