This acupuncture method is based on the homunculus map of the cerebral cortex, a scientific brain map showing how the brain’s motor and sensory regions control specific parts of the body. It was first discovered by Canadian neurosurgeon Dr. Wilder Penfield and later developed into a clinical acupuncture system by Professor Lee Chul-Hyung, Ph.D., in Korea.
