New clients preferring an in-person appointment with the speech-language pathologist (SLP) and wanting a myofunctional assessment. Areas addressed include structure and function of muscles of the mouth, pre and post frenectomy (tongue tie) assessment, oral habit elimination (thumb sucking, pacifier use, nail biting etc.), picky eating or difficulty eating certain foods, speech clarity. Please bring a small snack and drink to the assessment.
Includes time for case history, assessment, observation, and initial treatment planning.
For Children 4-5+ years of age. Younger children or children with a younger cognitive age should have a feeding assessment.
