If you have been involved in a motor vehicle accident in Alberta, you are entitled to accident benefits coverage regardless of whether you were at fault or not. The benefits you receive depend on the type of injury you have. Chiropractors are approved primary health care practitioners who are allowed to assess you for injuries sustained and diagnosis you.
You must contact your insurance company within 10 days of the accident and your auto insurance covers you for a minimum of 10 chiropractic treatments within 90 days of your accident for minor injuries under the Alberta Diagnostic Treatment Protocols Regulation.
