Cupping is an ancient form of Chinese medicine where an open flame is used to remove oxygen inside a glass cup, resulting in a vacuum-like suction when the cup in placed on the skin. This is a PAINLESS therapy, and is helpful for muscle tension, inflammation, blood circulation, relaxation, and fighting colds and flues. Cupping's suction action liberates stagnated circulation in tissues and pulls toxins out to the surface where they are properly metabolized and removed from the system. This leaves many with the famous mark of Chinese detoxification: red or purple hickies. Hickies typically last for a few days to one week.

Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
