Concussion Baseline Testing
Concussion baseline testing provides an individualized assessment of brain function before a concussion occurs, creating objective reference data that can be used to support clinical decision-making following a suspected concussion.
Testing evaluates key areas commonly affected by concussion, including balance, coordination, memory, concentration, reaction time, visual and vestibular function, and symptom status.
If a concussion occurs, post-injury results can be compared with your baseline performance to help identify changes, monitor recovery, guide rehabilitation, and support a safer return to school, work, sport, and physical activity.
Baseline testing is particularly recommended for athletes and individuals participating in activities with an increased risk of concussion.
Testing is completed at Revitalize Osteopathic Wellness Studio as part of our concussion management services.
Please note: Baseline testing does not prevent concussion and is not used on its own to diagnose or medically clear a concussion. It provides additional objective information that can assist with concussion assessment and recovery management.
