Basalt stones have been used for thousands of years in a traditional relaxation hot stone
treatment. We all think of the dark grey stones placed along the spine as a trademark photo
encapsulating relaxation. This treatment, although also relaxing, is very different from what
you might think hot stone treatment is.
Specialised training in using the stones as massage tools to manipulate the muscles, reduce
tension and knots while dispersing the heat from the stones into the muscles allows for a
deeper treatment with reduced discomfort and also a reduced post massage muscle
