This appointment is for the administration of a 1000 mg Monoferric iron infusion. This fee covers the IV iron administration appointment only.
The cost of the iron itself is paid separately through the pharmacy and is approximately $550.
Many extended medical plans cover approximately 80% of the pharmacy cost when patients have eligible extended health benefits.
