Dry needling is used to stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points for the management of pain and dysfunction.
The following conditions cannot receive this treatment: compromised immune system, abnormal bleeding, taking blood thinners (Heparin/Warfarin/Coumadin/Xarelto), vascular disease, lymphedema, uncontrolled Diabetes mellitus, poor healing, epilepsy, 1st trimester pregnancy and the elderly/frail.
