Prolotherapy consists of the injection of a proliferant solution into joints, ligaments, or tendons to activate the bodies ability to regenerate and restructure connective tissue to its pre-injury state. Variations on simple prolotherapy, and practiced by Dr. Fernyhough, includes ozone and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). (Note: PRP is presently not allowed in Alberta for injections other than IV due to a health ministry oversight, but hopefully this will be resolved soon).
