This treatment involves the use of specialized tools to manipulate fascia, muscles, tendons, and skin with different compressive movements. IASTM can help in swelling, scar tissue, fascial restrictions, and other issues of muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints.
NOTE: This treatment can result in marks being left on the skin and these marks can take anywhere from a few hours to up to two weeks to dissipate. These can look like a bruise.
