Community Acupuncture

Community acupuncture is practiced in a group, rather than one-on-one setting. Don’t worry, You won’t be baring much skin. The treatments are primarily on the front of the body and mainly on distal points (legs, arms, hands, feet, ears, etc.). You will zone out and relax in a nice comfy chair for 30 minutes. The open group-oriented nature of the clinic room allows for flexibility. We often encourage our patients to bring their friends/family/co-workers to their sessions. Our rate is $30 per session out of pocket after Medical Services Plan (MSP) coverage.

What it is

Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
