This is not your regular facial. Gua sha facial with cupping works on the lymphatic system of the face/neck/head/arms. It involves using smooth edged and rounded tools typically made of jade or rose quartz to perform gentle and effective targeted strokes on the face/neck and decolletage (longer sessions incl the arms). Lymphatic drainage, light pressure techniques help to remove toxins and
excess fluid from the face. It is very beneficial for detoxification. It reduces swelling/puffiness and supports immune function. Gua Sha also improves blood flow and skin elasticity. It can treat conditions like jaw pain, sinus pain, and headaches. It also promotes relaxation and reduces stress by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system.
Facial Cupping is also used in this therapeutic facial. Silicone or glass cups create a gentle suction on the face and neck. This increases local circulation which triggers collagen production and also promotes lymphatic drainage which again reduces facial swelling/puffiness, increases skin elasticity and promotes detoxification (removal of waste products and fluid buildup). Improving overall skin health to be vibrant. Facial Cupping promotes oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues which is vital for cellular repair and rejuvenation.
In addition to Gua Sha and cupping the treatment includes a thorough massage of all the facial muscles including the eyes, lip and jaw muscles (TMJ).The treatment includes a hot face towel and high-quality skin and face oils like Jojoba, Argan, Prickly Pear and essential oils like geranium, frankincense, rose oil, neroli etc.
