As part of your acupuncture treatment, you will receive LLLT. Low level light therapy (LLLT) involves the application of light energy to obtain therapeutic cellular benefits. Specific wavelengths of light within the red, blue, and near infrared spectrum improve mitochondrial function to increase cellular energy. LLLT is primarily used at VCA to improve skin conditions.

Most of the appointment is spent mapping out what’s going on in your body and choosing points, then resting with fine needles in place for a stretch — sometimes with heat, cups or electrical stimulation — and you leave with a sense of what was treated and whether more sessions make sense.
