Fire cupping acupuncture treatment
With its long history rooted in TCM, Fire Cupping remains a powerful tool for promoting balance, vitality, and overall well-being. It is a practice designed to remove blockages that hinder the flow of Qi, the body's life force energy. By promoting the free flow of Qi and Blood, this therapy helps to restore balance and support the body's natural healing process. During a session, heated glass cups are placed on specific points or areas of the body, as deemed necessary by your Acupuncturist. The heat inside the cups (created by using fire) creates a vacuum, gently pulling the skin and underlying tissue upward. This increases blood circulation, loosens connective tissue, and stimulates healing. Cups are typically placed on areas such as the back, shoulders, neck, arms, or legs, depending on where the client experiences discomfort. They may remain in place for 5 to 20 minutes, based on the condition being treated and the practitioner's assessment. Benefits of Fire Cupping include: pain relief, improved circulation, respiratory health, stress reduction, etc. Fire cupping may cause some temporary side effects, such as circular marks (or marks that are the shape of the cups) or mild soreness, which can vary depending on the level of suction used during the treatment. These marks typically fade within a few days to a couple of weeks. Some individuals may also experience brief discomfort during the session as Qi is unblocked and tension in the muscles or tissues is released. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine teachings, these effects are viewed as a positive indication that the treatment is effectively releasing blocked Qi and toxins from the body. Post-Cupping Care Tips: To ensure optimal results and minimize potential side effects, it's important to follow these guidelines: Hydration: Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins released during the session. Avoid Excessive Heat: Steer clear of saunas, steam rooms, or hot baths, as treated areas may be sensitive. Protect the Skin:
