Post Surgical Lactation Support

Pre and post-surgical support with your lactation consultant includes: Pre-surgical discussion of your goals for feeding your baby immediately postoperatively and in the weeks to follow. A support person in the room while your baby is in surgery and help with expressing milk, if necessary. Post-surgical feeding support to help your baby either latch to the breast or bottle as your baby needs to suck on a breast or bottle to help completely stop the bleeding that occurs during surgery. This appointment does not include weighted feeds
