TMJ is the TemporoMandibular Joint, and it is the only joint in the body that is bilateral (has 2 sides) and each side must act together. If there is dysfunction, whether it is muscular, joint or a combination of both, you may experience symptoms like clicking, popping noises, difficulty moving your jaw or pain with chewing or yawning.
Even neck and shoulder tension can contribute to tension in the jaw muscles.
This 45 minute treatment will focus on the muscles of the head, face, neck and upper shoulders only; some treatment inside the mouth (intra-oral) may be extremely helpful in resolving discomfort.
