Fungal nail treatment is an additional service that can be included on top of another foot care service for the first appointment. After the first appointment, this can be delivered as a stand alone treatment.
In order to clear an active fungal nail infection it takes time and commitment. We use a method of photo-disinfection to penetrate the affected nail and kill fungus in the nail bed. Repeated treatments are necessary in order to achieve lasting results and ensure that new nail growth is healthy. The minimum course of treatment is 8-10 appointments spaced 2 weeks apart. In some cases, people may need to also take anti-fungal medications or apply topical anti-fungal treatments between appointments.

Most of the appointment is spent examining how your feet are built and moving — skin, nails, joints, pressure points, gait and footwear — then dealing with the immediate issue through nail or skin care, padding, strapping or offloading, and sending you out with clear next steps.
