Since this microneedling session is performed by a Registered Acupuncturist it differs from other microneedling treatments, patients alwaye receive body acupuncture points during the procedure to ensure holistic treatment of the body. SkinPen is an award winning brand of microneedling devices with 14 precision medical grade needles in the tip. The needling creates hundreds of thousands of micro channels per minute, this micro-trauma promotes the skin's own healing process which stimulates collagen and elastin production. Ideal to treat fine lines, wrinkles and scars. It is also safe for all skin types. Numbing cream is used prior to treatment for a comfortable, relaxing experience. For best results 3-4 treatments are recommended spaces 4 weeks apart. This treatment is covered partially under most extended health care insurance plans. This treatment is not available during pregnancy and requires a 2 week waiting period after botox and 4 weeks after filler.
