How an FNHA or NIHB benefit gets you treated

  1. Confirm your benefit

FNHA administers health benefits for BC First Nations through Pacific Blue Cross. A call confirms your coverage and what is left this year.

  2. Book with a clinic that bills FNHA

The clinics here said they submit directly instead of asking you to pay and claim back.

  3. Check your remaining visits

Limits are annual and shared in places. Ask the clinic to check before booking a course.

What FNHA · NIHB covers

Limits are set by the benefit, not by the clinic. FNHA can tell you what is left this year.

Where you can compare FNHA · NIHB clinics

These are the cities where we hold enough clinics billing this claim to be worth comparing. The funder works everywhere in the province; our index does not yet.

FNHA · NIHB claims: what to know

FNHA benefits are administered through Pacific Blue Cross, which means the practical question is whether a clinic submits to that plan directly. Plenty of clinics will hand you a receipt instead, which turns a covered visit into a paperwork task.

Every clinic listed here said it submits for you. Where a clinic has published a charge above the benefit amount, that number is on its card rather than in the fine print.
