“Kimen is an exceptional therapist (and a great guy!). I was fortunate to be treated by Kimen while on a national team at the World Half Marathon champs in Spain and I've continued to see him for massage. Not surprisingly, I've since learned that many of Vancouver's elite athletes also see Kimen. He's a very talented massage therapist and has a mindbogglingly good ability to zone in on the source of pains and injuries. “I highly recommend Kimen from Petersen Wellness & Massage! I first came in for massage therapy because of Kimen's knowledge about SCAR TISSUE. Yep, scars! (I was shocked to find how few practitioners know about or were eager to give scar tissue the deep hands-on work that it deserves.) I broke my forearm and had to have surgery (plate and screws), and was left with a significant scar that was quite bound to the muscles and fascia underneath. Kimen has able to "dig in" more than I could possibly have done to myself, and I've had significant improvement in my mobility. The scar isn't "stuck down" any more, either! Overall, the RMT experience is a great one - Kimen is personable, knowledgeable and caring - and has the exact kind of strong hands you want in a massage therapist.”Lire la suiteRéduire

“I was always afraid of needles... but due to the amount of exercise and skin problems I have, acupuncture was the next best option for me. Petersen Wellness & Massage Therapy exceeds expectations. Super friendly, very comfortable (even though needles aren't my thing.) There is the option of using laser acupuncture, which still works just as well I find if you really ARE scared of needles. But seriously, try the needles first, because Patricia does a great job and won't push you either. I am always feeling refreshed, relaxed and amazing after every session. “The clinic at Petersen Wellness is amazing. It's a very comforting, relaxing space, that's central and easy to get to by car or transit. I have some major injuries to my back and some health issues. Previous to going to see Kimen & Patricia at Petersen Wellness, I had pain and flare ups on a regular basis. I sit at a desk for work and it aggravates my low back. Kimen was very thorough with his process of investigation and had me fill out all the intake forms ahead of time online. That saved time and left more time for a Fantastic Massage. He worked on a number of problem spots and found some that were causing other pains. The massage was deep and strong without being too much. Afterwards, he gave me some stretches to use, which I do , and they’ve been helpful at relieving aches and pains that come from my active lifestyle and the old injuries. I have had flare ups the next day after massages with other people , but not with Kimen. I feel limber and pain free for a few days after. I can’t wait for my next visit.”Lire la suiteRéduire
