As a trauma-informed and mindfulness-based therapist, Aaron combines professional expertise with the grounded empathy that comes from lived experience. He brings more than twenty years in the helping professions — and over a decade supporting people through recovery, trauma, and mental health — into a practice centered on authenticity, safety, and respect.
Known for his calm steadiness and a quick sense of humor, Aaron helps clients feel at ease from their very first session. He approaches therapy as a collaborative process, using warmth and curiosity to help clients explore what’s been hard without judgment or pressure. His work blends Cognitive and Dialectical Behaviour Therapies (CBT and DBT) with mindfulness and psychoeducation, guiding people to recognize unhelpful patterns, reframe beliefs, and build practical tools for lasting change. He believes people already have what they need to heal — therapy simply creates the space and safety to rediscover it.

Aaron’s career has spanned outreach programs, community initiatives, and private practice. He has worked extensively with First Nations communities in the South Okanagan, where he learned the value of relational, community-based healing and the deep power of being present. Those years shaped his belief that real transformation happens when people are met with compassion and connection, not correction.
Beyond his clinical training, Aaron’s approach is grounded in humility, humor, and the understanding that progress rarely moves in a straight line. He brings a steady presence to the therapy room — one that helps people exhale, reflect, and begin to see themselves through a lens of hope instead of shame.
Aaron holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). He is currently completing registration as a Provisional Psychologist in Alberta. Across every setting and modality, Aaron remains guided by one simple truth: healing happens through relationship — when we feel seen, respected, and safe enough to be real.
