A Cognitive FCE is a specific evaluation that assesses the functional impairment of a worker’s memory, attention, planning, problem solving, learning, impulsivity and tolerance for multiple demands. The evaluation may include a standardized assessment of cognition functioning in addition to observations of functional everyday tasks. The evaluation will outline the impact of changes in cognitive function and recommend customized strategies. YKPT is the only company certified to conduct Functional Capacity Evaluations in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut
Individual ergonomic assessments are tailored to the worker. The therapist works directly with the worker to provide an in-depth, expert consideration of the worker, in terms of their work demands, workstation, existing work or non-work related pathology as well as individualized anthropometric considerations. Adjustments to the work environment and routine to decrease risks of injury and increase productivity are made on the day of the assessment. The assessment includes a report outlining modifications conducted, recommendations made and assistance with purchasing of recommended equipment. Please email hello@ykpt.ca to book an ergonomic assessment.
