AJ has been a part of the rehab team at Kawartha Therapeutic Centre since October 2017. He is a registered physiotherapist with a special interest in musculoskeletal injuries, sports injuries and neuro rehab. He has completed additional courses in spinal manipulation, myofascial release techniques, several manual therapy techniques, dry needling, shockwave therapy, kinesio-taping.
His initial examination consists of history taking and movement assessments based on which he decides the line of treatment. He firmly believes in empowering his patients with the knowledge of what's causing their pain and how they can fix it- this is something that he is extremely proud of.

Treatments may include: - Manual therapy such as the deep tissue work, and massage of muscles. - The mobilization and manipulation of joints to help reduce any pain and stiffness. - Shockwave Therapy - Dry Needling - The use of hot and cold modalities. Hot presses are often used after physiotherapy session to help loosen your muscles, and increase their movement and function. Cold Compresses are commonly used after your session to relieve pain and reduce swelling and inflammation. -Customized exercise plans that are created to help you improve your strength, range of motion, and flexibility. These exercise programs are also created to help with rehabilitation after an injury and to prevent the occurrence of future injuries.
