Aleksandra was born and raised in Europe; where from a very young age she attended ballet school and practiced yoga.
After immigrating to Canada Aleksandra pursued an honors degree in Kinesiology from the University of Windsor, with minors in Psychology and Visual Art. She also became a Certified Personal Trainer and a Certified Pilates Mat instructor with Physical Mind Institute.
In 2015 Aleksandra suddenly suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and a hemorrhage stroke. However, she was determined to make a full recovery; following which she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. In 2018 she completed a post-graduate diploma in Registered Massage Therapy from ICT Kikkawa College in Toronto and three years later she moved to Metro Vancouver. In Vancouver Aleksandra completed 3 Levels of Craniosacral Therapy training from Visionary Craniosacral Therapy, which blends together Upledger and Biodynamic schools of CST, complete with training in Somatoemotional Release.
Today, Aleksandra carries within her a first-hand insight into what it is like to be unwell and then to find your way to personal healing. In her RMT practice, Aleksandra has adopted a holistic approach, in which she focuses on the person as a whole and aims to assist her patients in their journey toward their individualized wellness goals.
Aleksandra is an adaptable therapist and can provide relaxation massage as well as injury recovery treatments, neuromuscular work, trigger point therapy, work with neurological disease and pre/post-natal massage to name a few. When required, Aleksandra concludes each session by prescribing benefit-extending remedial exercises, drawing from her knowledge of personal training and pilates.
As a practitioner, Aleksandra can be best described as charismatic, creative, down-to-earth, and friendly. Through her caring, calm, and very laid-back yet professional demeanor she ensures that each of her patients feels relaxed and rejuvenated.
When not treating her patients, Aleksandra designates her time to work as a Clinical Instructor at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, as well as an artist. She also enjoys being in nature, gardening, meditating, cooking, doing yoga, exercising, and spending time with her three hairless cats.
