Alex Edezhath is a highly qualified physiotherapist who holds a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India, which he completed in 2009. Following his graduation, he gained substantial professional experience working in India and the United Arab Emirates for six years before relocating to Canada in 2017.
In 2018, Alex completed all the necessary credentialing and academic requirements to practice in Canada, subsequently moving to Alberta in 2019. He is currently fully registered with the College of Physiotherapy of Alberta.
Alex specializes in a range of musculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain management, as well as pre-operative and post-operative care for sports injuries. He has earned certifications in techniques such as dry needling, spinal manipulation, and myofascial release, enabling him to provide effective treatment for a variety of conditions.
In addition to his primary areas of expertise, Alex has a strong interest in vestibular and concussion management and is actively pursuing training in strength and conditioning for athletes and individuals in protective services. He is multilingual, fluent in English, Hindi, and Malayalam, and has worked with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. His specialization in orthopedics includes the use of treatment methodologies such as manual therapy, exercise therapy, and electrotherapy.
Outside of his professional commitments, Alex is a dedicated family man who values quality time with his wife and children, as well as maintaining his fitness routine. He also enjoys traveling, hiking, and biking.
