**Alexis is an orthopedic and pelvic health physiotherapist** who attended the University of Ottawa to receive an Honours Bachelor of Sciences in Human Kinetics and a Masters of Health Sciences in Physiotherapy.
She focuses on **manual therapy skills and movement health** to optimize clients’ healing. Her goal is to find the root cause of symptoms by looking for mobility, coordination and strength restrictions, and to help provide education, strategies, and tools necessary to address these limitations and improve quality of life. She strives to work through a holistic approach that is supportive, informative, and easy to understand to help her clients achieve their rehabilitation goals .
Alexis also provides **pelvic health physiotherapy**. This service can be beneficial for anyone who is pregnant, has given birth, has trouble controlling their bladder (ex: leaking with sneezing or difficulty with urgency), has pelvic organ prolapse symptoms, has pain with intercourse and/or has pain in the pelvic area.
Alexis is also a **yoga and Pilates instructor**, and enjoys incorporating concepts from these practices into her physiotherapy treatment plans.
