Alexis earned her Bachelor of Human Kinetics from UBC Okanagan in 2017 and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University in 2019.
Alexis brings a broad range of clinical experience, including post-operative Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Vascular and Cardiac Surgery, Oncology, General Medicine, Brain Injury, and Stroke. Across all practice areas, she supports individuals in achieving their functional goals by maximizing independence in activities of daily living. Her approach incorporates evidence-based interventions, therapeutic modalities, adaptive equipment, and custom splint fabrication, always prioritizing her clients’ needs and goals.
After completing over 3,000 hours of focused clinical experience in upper extremity injury management, Alexis achieved certification through the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. Alexis has been working as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) for over two years in both the private and public health sector within the Okanagan. As a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), she specializes in the assessment, treatment, and education of acute and chronic upper extremity conditions from the elbow to the fingertips.
Outside of work, Alexis enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, Tilly, as well as with friends and family. Her interests include hiking, skiing, biking, rock climbing, camping, and training in Olympic weightlifting.
