Dr. Ali is a Registered Doctor of Acupuncture and 200 hour Yoga Teacher with an undergrad in Business from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.
Ali found acupuncture after a severe injury in her early 20s left her pelvis out of alignment and she was hardly able to walk. She was skeptical when her acupuncturist started to poke her elbows rather than her hips directly but was amazed when she felt less pain almost instantly. Her curiosity sprouted from there and she became fascinated by the intricacies of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. Ali loves to now be on the other side of the treatment and help people to feel more connected to their bodies.
Outside of the treatment room, Ali teaches yoga at different studios throughout the city and loves the power of moving while surrounded by community. Inspired to create a safe space to connect during the pandemic, she started her own business in 2021 leading different yoga classes and workshops for an inclusive and community-focused practice. This will soon start to expand to include offerings combining Yin Yoga and Acupuncture so stay tuned for more information to come.

Utilizing fire & glass cups, a vacuum is created in the glass cup – we will use the negative pressure to encourage circulation for tired, overworked and tight muscles. Cups will either be stationary or dynamic-cupping will be applied to the affected TCM channels. Can be helpful in the initial stages of a common cold, when chills and achy muscles ensue.

Select 1 area of focus: Superior: Face + Scalp, Anterior: Abdomen, Breast(s) & legs & Posterior: hips, thighs & buttocks. AcuSculpting is a specialized cosmetic acupuncture protocol designed to shape, lift, tighten and firm the skin on face & body. NADA protocol – a total of 10 acupuncture points (5 tiny needles inserted on each ear). This standardized auricular acupuncture has many applications but particularly for: addiction support (e.g., substances (alcohol, smoking, recreational drugs, food and habits)), pain management for those undergoing cancer treatment, for mental calmness from stress and anxiety. Depending on the reason for the visit, Dr. Christina may select an extraordinary vessel to go along with NADA protocol - which would be a total of 4 extra acupuncture points on the extremities.
