Alicia Fordham is a Registered Acupuncturist and member of the Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of Nova Scotia as well the CTCMPAO in Ontario. After completing her Diploma of Acupuncture at Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine, the pan-Canadian exams, and a clinical internship in Toronto, Alicia has worked in community acupuncture, as well as her own private practice, recently opening a multidisciplinary treatment space in the North End of Kjipuktuk/Halifax: sunmoon room.
Understanding that the practice and study of Traditional East Asian Medicine is a life-long undertaking, Alicia continuously pursues advanced continuing education courses, seeking to deepen her understanding and offer new perspectives to her clients. At the foundation of her practice is the belief that all bodies hold innate wisdom, all people deserve care, and healing is collaborative.
Alicia holds a BA in Sociology and Social Anthropology with a minor in history from Dalhousie University and has worked in youth programming (in public parks), art departments (in film), and an events company in New York City. Throughout her travels, the regulating and restorative effects of acupuncture have drawn her attention again and again, and she is grateful for the opportunity to practice this medicine.

Sliding-scale ($35-$65) acupuncture in a small group setting. Up to four people will be treated in the space at one time. 20 minutes will be dedicated to your intake and needling, please give yourself an hour in total to relax with the treatment.
An acupuncture treatment accompanied by supportive modalities such as cupping, tuina and moxa as needed. We'll check in on your progress and current needs.
A review of your health history, current well-being, and health goals, followed by an initial acupuncture treatment.
