Alicia is a French-Canadian Occupational Therapist with a scientific background and a passion for specialized hand therapy. Originally from Québec, she earned her Bachelor of Medical Biology in 2015, followed by her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2024. This unique academic path allows her to bridge the gap between the science of tissue healing and the "human" side of rehabilitation. Before settling on Vancouver Island, Alicia lived in Scotland for several years—an experience that shaped her adaptability and broadened her perspective on health and community. She brings these qualities into her practice with warmth, curiosity, and a focus on building strong therapeutic relationships. Alicia has a particular interest in the complexity of upper extremity rehabilitation. Having worked in a hospital hand therapy setting, she gained valuable experience with post-surgical cases and custom splinting. Currently working toward becoming a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), she values evidence-based, individualized care. Alicia ensures her patients feel empowered throughout their recovery, whether they are returning to a specialized trade, a favorite sport, or daily essentials. Outside the clinic, Alicia is an avid outdoors enthusiast. You can find her snowboarding, dirt biking, hiking, paddle boarding or trail running —often accompanied by a dog whenever possible. For Alicia, staying active is the foundation of living fully, a philosophy she shares with every patient she treats.
