Allison LaVigne is a psychotherapist and registered social worker providing clinical services in the areas of mental health and addictions for almost 20 years. She has spent about 10 years at the post-secondary level counselling students, supervising Counselling Students, and she currently supervises 6 Psychotherapists in Private Practice.
She has worked at the local, national and international levels, spending many years in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver, all the way to Burundi and Rwanda, co-facilitating healing and reconciliation workshops post-genocide.
Allison has a passion for truth and reconciliation work and enjoys a braided approach to working with Indigenous populations. She works from a place of curiosity and compassion and meeting you where you are at. She is trained in many forms of therapy, including trauma-based, parts work and eye movement desensitization therapies (ie. Internal Family Systems, Accelerated Resolution Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She can tailor your therapy to what you need and
want.
