Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation (IASTM) Massage combines traditional manual therapy with specialized, medical-grade ergonomic tools. By gliding contoured tool edges over the skin, your therapist can precisely target and release deep muscle tightness, fascial restrictions, and stubborn scar tissue that are difficult to reach with hands alone. The tools are seamlessly integrated into your session alongside warm-up and relaxing manual massage. What Is It? Repetitive strain, injury, and posture stress can cause dense, tangled collagen fibers (adhesions or "knots") to build up in your soft tissue. IASTM tools amplify tissue texture, allowing your therapist to detect and break down these hidden restrictions through controlled micro-friction, stimulating your body’s natural healing and tissue-rebuilding process. Key Benefits Targeted Knot & Scar Release: Efficiently breaks down stubborn fascial adhesions and scar tissue. Rapid Pain & Tension Relief: Desensitizes local pain receptors for quick comfort. Restored Flexibility: Unlocks tight fascia to improve range of motion and joint mobility. Enhanced Circulation: Boosts local blood flow to supply nutrients and accelerate muscle recovery. Deeper Work, Less Soreness: Reaches deep tissue layers effectively without the sharp discomfort of heavy thumb or elbow pressure.

Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Massage Policy For clients receiving treatment related to a motor vehicle accident: Credit Card on File: Healing Oasis Massage and Wellness requires a valid credit card on file for payment security. This ensures that if your motor vehicle accident insurance does not cover any portion of your treatment, you are able to pay any outstanding balance. First Appointment & Adjuster Approval: For your first MVA massage, we must connect with your insurance adjuster to confirm coverage. Payment for this first session will be collected at the clinic. Treatment Tracking: In Alberta, adjusters approve a set number of treatments (usually 21). It is the client’s responsibility to keep track of the number of treatments received. We do not coordinate with your physiotherapist or chiropractor, so we do not know how many treatments you have already received. If your approved limit is exceeded, the client is responsible for any additional fees. Insurance Coverage: While we submit claims on your behalf, your insurance coverage is determined by your adjuster and insurance provider. Any costs not covered are the client’s responsibility.

Lymphatic massage is a gentle, therapeutic technique designed to support the body’s lymphatic system, which plays a vital role in immune function and waste removal. Using light, rhythmic strokes and specific movements, this massage encourages the natural flow of lymphatic fluid, helping to reduce swelling, improve circulation, and detoxify the body. This treatment is especially beneficial for those recovering from surgery, experiencing chronic swelling (such as lymphedema), or looking to support their overall wellness. While the pressure is very light and the pace may feel slow compared to traditional massage, this is intentional and essential for effective lymphatic drainage. Many clients find it relaxing, rejuvenating, and supportive for their immune and circulatory systems. Always consult your healthcare provider if you have a medical condition before receiving this treatment.
