Alvina is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in British Columbia, passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges with kindness and understanding. She works with individuals living with mental health struggles such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, grief, life transitions, adjustment to physical illnesses, and caregiver difficulties, providing a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and growth.

Alvina holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology and a Master of Social Science (MSSc) in Clinical Psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has been trained in evidence-based approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Unified Protocol (UP), customizing her approach to meet each client’s unique needs and goals at their own pace. She believes in creating a warm, comforting environment where clients feel seen, heard, and supported in each of their life contexts.
Raised in Hong Kong, Alvina understands the cultural nuances and emotional complexities that many people face. She offers therapy in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin to better connect with clients. Outside of work, she enjoys music, hitting the gym, and reading, and is a proud mom of a 3-year-old ginger cat.
Above all, Alvina is truly grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside people through life’s ups and downs with empathy and practical tools for lasting change, empowering them to live more fulfilled and resilient lives.

- Graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong
o MA Psychology (Dean’s List honours)
o MSSc Clinical Psychology (Dean’s List honours)
- Registered Clinical Counsellor in BC, Canada
- Clinical Psychologist in Accredited Register in Hong Kong
- Trained in EMDR, Emotion-Focused Therapy (Level 2), Unified Protocol, Goal Management Training, and Mental Health First Aid
