Amanda Gemmell is a Registered Pelvic Health and Orthopedic Physiotherapist who grew up in Essex County playing competitive sports. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology at Faulkner University in Alabama in 2015 while playing Varsity Women’s Soccer on a soccer scholarship. After completing her undergraduate degree, Amanda moved back to Canada and earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in 2017. She continues to play soccer, loves riding horses, painting, weight lifting, running, and training her amazing dog Meeko.
Amanda treats both pelvic health and orthopedic conditions. She has taken numerous postgraduate pelvic health courses and is currently a teaching assistant for the international pelvic health course “The Female Athlete - Level 1” with Antony Lo. *The Female Athlete – Level 1 is approved by CrossFit for 20 CEU’s.*
Her mission is to find the root cause of your complaint, teach you everything she knows about your case, and ultimately teach you how to treat yourself. Amanda takes an evidence-based approach to her practice and will work with you to reach your goals.

This is a follow up appointment and may only be booked if you have completed a pelvic health physiotherapy assessment at Sport Medicine Physiotherapy and/or have attended a treatment within the last 6 months. If it has been over 6 months, please book an initial assessment.
Re-assessment of the same injury/condition between 4-12 months from your last appointment with a Sport Medicine Physiotherapy physiotherapist. If this is a new injury/area of concern or if it has been over 12 months, please book an initial assessment.
This is a follow up physiotherapy treatment that may only be booked if you have completed a physiotherapy assessment (for an orthopaedic condition, not pelvic health) and/or have attended a treatment in the last 6 months. If this is a new injury or area of concern, please book an initial assessment.
