Ana Kordic, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist & Owner/Operator of
Sunstone Registered Family Massage Therapy
Ana graduated from The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy and became registered in 2009. She soon founded Sunstone Registered Massage in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. Ana has received certification above standard school training in Peri-Natal Massage and has on-site experience in Women’s College Hospital in Toronto, working with Labour Support and High-Risk Pregnancies. Ana’s training extends to Certification in both Infant Massage Instruction and Pediatric Massage Therapy with the Internationally Acclaimed Infant Massage Expert, Tina Allen, of the Liddle Kidz Foundation in California.
Between 2015 and 2017, Ana returned to the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) as a faculty member. She was a full-time teaching assistant in gross anatomy & palpation, remedial exercise, pediatric massage, treatments, and neurology. She also supervised the student clinic and outreach events all over the city and weekly clinics with Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. She was invited to create a Peri-Natal Anatomy Course for CCMH’s online platform in 2018.
Her passion for teaching transferred exclusively to her clients. Her desire was to see her clients improve their mobility and receive massages more because they wanted to and less because they needed to. She spends extra time with clients regularly to demonstrate stretches and to explain basic body mechanics. Ana also created and taught Comprehensive Anatomy Courses for Yoga Teacher Training Programs in multiple studios across the GTA.
Ana has 13 years of experience with athletes, deep tissue treatments, peri-natal massage, infant massage and instruction, pediatrics, senior massage, rehabilitation, and teaching anatomy to thousands.

Dry cupping therapy is another modality used by our certified RMTs to relieve muscle tension, improve blood circulation, release excess fluid and toxins, and stimulate the nervous system. Therapists use plastic cups and a pump to create negative pressure (or suction) over muscle. This suction creates space between the layers of muscle and tissue and draws blood to the area, effectively relaxing the muscle. The effects of cupping can lead to some discoloration of the skin, ranging from faint red to deep purple. The degree of discoloration depends on the level of stagnation of blood in the tissue. These bruises can last anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks. Slight tenderness at the site of cupping is also common for a few days. Although cupping therapy can be beneficial for many, it is not recommended for those with circulatory conditions or blood disorders. This is due to the increase in blood circulation that accompanies this modality. If you have any concerns about whether cupping is right for you, please consult your physician.
