Andrea has been practicing massage therapy for 30 years. She was introduced to its benefits on her journey to becoming an Olympic Swimmer for both injury rehabilitation/ prevention as well as performance enhancement and recovery.
After graduating from CCMH in Toronto, she moved back to Calgary and practiced within multi disciplinary settings as part of patient centred healthcare teams prior to relocating to Vancouver Island. She was (and is) fortunate to work with many amateur and professional athletes within these settings but also treated a variety of conditions including pre-post op/joint replacements, repetitive strains, fibromyalgia, neuropathologies, TOS and postural imbalances to name a few .
Whether it is for rehabilitation, treatment specific or maintenance, Andrea has a wide area of experience combining multiple techniques and varying pressures to individualize treatments based on her patient's outcome goals. Her treatments are fascial focus and neurocentric.
Her continued professional interests and education include the Fascial System, breath work, biomechanics, mobility, pain and trauma. She believes that small habits and compensations over time can lead to both chronic and acute conditions and that conversely small corrections can alleviate symptoms and allow the to body heal.
Andrea is a Trauma Informed Practitioner.

Myofascial cupping is a therapeutic technique centered on the fascia. It utilizes the power of negative pressure. By applying suction with plastic or silicon cups on the skin, this therapy can effectively target myofascial adhesions, TP's, tension release, and improve local blood circulation. Often, marks where the cups have been placed will appear on the skin and may remain for several days. Individuals may experience circular red or purple marks on the skin, which are not bruises in the traditional sense, but rather a result of the suction drawing blood to the surface.
