Andrew first developed his passion for physiotherapy from playing competitive sports and seeing the importance of physiotherapy on his own injury management and rehab. He is an avid tennis player, competing at the national level as a junior and on the Queen’s University varsity tennis team during his undergraduate education. He understands the challenges that come with staying at peak performance while managing the risk of injury. He has extensive knowledge of the physical demands, complex biomechanics, and functional movement patterns involved in a sport like tennis, and has personal experience with sports-specific injuries like tennis elbow, shoulder strains, and wrist injuries. Andrew is able to translate this expertise to other racquet sports like badminton, squash, and pickleball, as well as sports that involve overhead throwing mechanics like baseball, cricket, and volleyball. No matter if you are looking to return to international competition, or rally with friends in the park, Andrew is able to devise an individualized plan to get you back to doing what you love, stronger and more resilient than before.
Andrew is also nurturing a budding passion for running, having completed two half-marathons, and is in the process of training for another this upcoming October. Running injuries can be difficult to manage, and can put a dent in your training schedule and speed goals, so Andrew will help get you back on the track, road, or trails as quickly as possible.
Following a thorough hands-on assessment, Andrew will provide an evidence-based individualized rehab program to tackle your specific needs, utilizing strategies like manual therapy, education, and exercise. He has a passion for empowering you to take your health into your own hands and reach your activity goals, and to help you thrive as you go through your rehabilitation journey.
When he’s not in the clinic, you can find Andrew on the tennis court, playing volleyball, or brushing up on his Spanish.
