From a young age I have had an interest in health and understanding the human body as well as a desire to help improve the lives of those around me. When I discovered massage therapy as a career, it was a perfect match! Shortly after completing my schooling at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2013, I jumped into building my own practice.
After performing years of traditional deep tissue massage I began to develop repetitive stress injuries in my back, shoulders, and hands. Since receiving training in Ashiatsu massage therapy through The Canadian Institute of Ashiatsu Massage Therapy in 2017, I was able to provide deep, effective bodywork without pain or discomfort. For me, learning Ashiatsu was a career-changing experience and it didn’t take long for it to become my specialty and most requested service.
[Ashiatsu](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyNHNDzCv8M) is a barefoot massage technique in which the therapist delivers deep, broad, consistent pressure while utilizing their feet and body weight. Working with gravity instead of against it, Ashiatsu therapists are able to provide an effective therapeutic massage without causing pain or discomfort to themselves or the receiving client. If you are in need of deep tissue work, but don’t enjoy the discomfort that comes with pointy elbows and thumbs, Ashiatsu may be for you!
I also have additional training in Cupping, Gua Sha, pre- and post-natal massage care, and post-surgical breast massage. I am currently furthering my Barefoot massage skills with a Myofascial Barefoot massage course called [Sarga Bodywork](https://www.sargabodywork.com).

Your initial appointment can include up to 30 minutes of assessment such as verbal consultation, range of motion testing, postural assessment and other special testing, depending on your specific needs.
