Anne graduated from McMaster University with both an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology
and a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy. At McMaster, Anne played on the varsity
squash team, as well as other intramural sports. After graduating, Anne worked at a Toronto
Sports Medicine clinic that focused on professional athletes involved in hockey, tennis, and
ballet. Anne has continued educational courses in Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy
Techniques, and successfully completed her examinations in Orthopaedic Manual &
Manipulative Therapy. At that point, she became a Resident of the Academy of Manipulative
Therapists.
Anne moved to Peterborough in 2004 where she started her family and worked both in private
practice and most recently at Peterborough Regional Health Center in the Rehabilitation
department. Her years rehabilitating joint replacements, treating post-operative general
deconditioning from a lack of movement reinforced Anne’s values of living a healthy active
lifestyle. Movement is the key to regaining strength, joint mobility, function, and ultimately
performance in your sport or life. Anne has many years of experience working with clients
across the age spectrum and particularly enjoys working with anyone who is motivated to live a
more active lifestyle.
Anne uses an evidence based treatment approach to care, believing in empowering her clients
with the proper information and education to make sound choices. She prescribes progressive
exercises tailored to her patients, as well as hands-on techniques to improve overall outcomes.
Anne enjoys participating in endurance running events, coaches rep soccer for our
Peterborough community and plays ultimate frisbee to stay fit and have fun. If you are looking
to optimize your health, performance, or return to a more active lifestyle, Anne will work with
you to set realistic and achievable goals.
Anne is excited to be working alongside this extremely talented and inter-disciplinary team of
health care practitioners.
