Annika graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2022 with a degree in Kinesiology before moving to Edmonton to complete her Masters in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. Since then, Annika has continued her education to widen her practice to include torticollis, plagiocephaly, vestibular and TMJ treatment.
Growing up Annika was involved with the basketball community both as a player and as a coach. More recently she worked as a student trainer with the University of Saskatchewan Men’s Volleyball team. Annika is eager to help patients reach their goals and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Outside of the clinic Annika enjoys cooking, hot yoga, reading and spending time with friends and family.

This follow-up treatment is focused on progressing your concussion recovery. Your physiotherapist will reassess your symptoms, monitor your progress, and provide individualized treatment, which may include manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, visual rehabilitation, balance training, exercise progression, and education to support a safe return to work, school, sport, and daily activities. Schedule only after completing a concussion initial assessment.

This follow-up session focuses on ongoing management of vertigo, dizziness, balance issues, or vestibular dysfunction. Your physiotherapist will reassess symptoms and provide targeted treatment, which may include vestibular rehabilitation exercises, balance training, gaze stabilization, manual therapy, canalith repositioning maneuvers (if indicated), education, and progression of your individualized home program. Schedule only after completing the Dizziness/ Vertigo Initial Assessment.

A comprehensive assessment and treatment for individuals recovering from a concussion or experiencing ongoing symptoms after a head injury. Your physiotherapist will evaluate your symptoms, neck, balance, vestibular and visual systems, and develop a personalized treatment plan to support your recovery. Treatment is included as part of this session may include education, manual therapy, vestibular and visual rehabilitation, exercise prescription, and return-to-work, school, or sport guidance.

A comprehensive assessment for individuals experiencing vertigo, dizziness, balance concerns, or feelings of unsteadiness. As part of your session, using the Vestibular First goggles, your physiotherapist will evaluate your vestibular (inner ear) system, balance, eye movements, neck, and functional mobility to determine the cause of your symptoms. Treatment will begin during this visit and may include canalith repositioning maneuvers (for BPPV), vestibular rehabilitation, balance training, manual therapy, education, and a personalized home exercise program.

This session focuses on the assessment and treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, including jaw pain, clicking, tightness, headaches, and related neck tension. Your physiotherapist will provide individualized treatment which may include manual therapy to the jaw, face, and neck, soft tissue release, joint mobilization, exercise prescription for jaw stability and control, posture correction, and education on habits that may contribute to symptoms such as clenching or grinding.

This treatment session is designed for infants with torticollis (tightness or preference in neck positioning) and/or plagiocephaly (head shape asymmetry). Your physiotherapist will assess neck mobility, muscle tightness, head positioning, and developmental milestones, and provide gentle, age-appropriate treatment. Treatment may include manual techniques, stretching, positioning strategies, parent education, and a customized home exercise program to improve neck symmetry, head shape, and overall motor development. Guidance will also be provided to support feeding, tummy time, and daily handling techniques to encourage optimal positioning and development
