I’m Anshul, a registered physiotherapist with advanced certifications in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, Lymphedema Management, Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, and the Bone Fit™ Program. I began my physiotherapy career in 2008 and have been proudly serving the Owen Sound community since 2014.
My clinical focus is on pelvic health, cancer rehabilitation, lymphedema management, and osteoporosis care — all grounded in a deep commitment to women’s health, education, and empowerment.
My passion for pelvic health physiotherapy comes from a very personal place.
For over a decade, I lived with pelvic pain that no one seemed to understand. It began with vaginismus and painful intimacy — something I believed I just had to live with. When I sought help, I was told everything “looked fine,” yet the pain persisted.
During that time, I managed PCOS with birth control, faced dryness and muscle tension, and carried layers of confusion and shame about my own body. Having also experienced sexual trauma, I often felt as though my body had turned against me.
For 12 years, I searched for answers. Through learning, self-compassion, and persistence, I gradually healed — reconnecting with my body in a way I never thought possible. That journey transformed not only my personal life but also my professional purpose.
I became a pelvic health physiotherapist because no woman should have to endure years of pain, silence, or dismissal. Today, I help women experiencing pelvic pain, vaginismus, painful intimacy, pelvic tension, pelvic prolapse, birth trauma, c-section recovery, urinary and fecal incontinence, to reconnect with their bodies and rediscover comfort, confidence, and pleasure.
My approach blends evidence-based care with empathy, education, and a safe, judgment-free environment where women feel heard, supported, and empowered to heal.

Pelvic health physiotherapy is the assessment and treatment of pelvic health conditions including stress and urge incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain including tailbone pain, hip pain, dyspareunia (painful intercourse) pregnancy-related hip, pubis, low back, SI pain, postpartum physiotherapy including c section recovery, return to exercises, diastasis recti. The assessment involves internal pelvic exam and external examinations to identify the affected tissues that may be contributing to your symptoms. Treatment typically involves hands-on manual therapy (including internal pelvic manual therapy), exercise, pain education and management as well as other therapeutic modalities. Physiotherapy Assessment and treatment via internal pelvic exam is a controlled act and can only be done by a therapist if they are rostered in the College of Physiotherapist for this. Please note that our current pelvic floor physiotherapist doesn’t accept male clients.
Your first visit will typically last about one hour. Your physiotherapist will start by taking a thorough history of your injury. Then, your relevant medical history will be reviewed with you, and any test reports (MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, X-rays) that you bring along will be discussed. The physiotherapist will then do a physical assessment of your injury/problem area and discuss the physical findings with you. The discussion will focus on educating you on your problems and the contributing factors and the physiotherapist’s treatment plan to address the relevant concerns. After obtaining the informed consent, your therapist may start your treatment during the initial visit or wait until the follow-up visit depending on the available time.
This appointment is for individuals experiencing symptoms of pelvic organ prolapse (heaviness, pressure, or vaginal bulge) or certain types of urinary leakage who are interested in pessary support. Your pelvic health physiotherapist will complete a thorough assessment, provide education about pessary use, and discuss whether a pessary is an appropriate option for you. With your consent, an internal pelvic exam may be performed to assess pelvic floor muscles and determine proper sizing. If suitable and you choose to proceed, and the correct size is available, your pessary can often be fitted and dispensed during the same visit. Up to three sizes may be trialed to ensure the best and most comfortable fit. If pessary fitting is not appropriate or you prefer not to proceed, you will still receive a comprehensive pelvic health assessment along with education and treatment recommendations to help manage your symptoms. This is a safe, non-surgical option that can provide immediate support and symptom relief for many individuals.
