Anya has been in health care for the better part of the last 25 years. After a lifetime of professional dance she learned first hand how important physical and mental maintenance is. After starting in yoga therapy in 2001 she moved more deeply into a wide range of health disciplines including massage and bodywork, nursing and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She spearheaded the first medically sanctioned yoga therapy program through the Washington VA hospitals, contributed to multiple Parkinson's research projects through OHSU and Portland University Nursing Program and has worked extensively in community care in both the US and Canada. This has given her a broad lens through which she views each patient and a love of collaboration between disciplines which sets patients up for the most efficient and complete path towards recovery. She has worked with patients spanning from surgery and injury rehab to neurological
and movement disorders, stroke and concussion rehab and pre and post natal health. Anya believes in treating the whole person and setting achievable goals that blend with your lifestyle to create long term health in both body and mind. Treatments include a mix of acupuncture, cupping, scraping, mobilization and movement depending on what is needed.
Outside of work she enjoys all the sea to sky has to offer and aims to stay healthy enough to continue to do so for as long as possible
