Ashley has been a Registered Physiotherapist since 2011, graduating from Queen’s University with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy.
In 2014, she completed advanced training to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, developing a strong clinical focus in cancer rehabilitation, lymphedema care, and scar management.
She provides manual lymphatic drainage, exercise, scar management, and education to help people manage swelling, restore function, and feel more in control of their recovery. Importantly, lymphatic drainage is also valuable for people who have not had cancer, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic swelling.
Ashley treats patients of all ages and activity levels—from youth to adults in their 90s. She has extensive experience supporting people after total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements, helping individuals manage osteoarthritis, and working with young athletes dealing with sport injuries. Her broader training includes manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, concussion management, TMJ disorders, Mulligan mobilizations, therapeutic taping, soft tissue release, running injury prevention, and scar management techniques.
Ashley believes in a collaborative, integrative approach—she listens carefully to each patient’s goals and concerns, acknowledges the fears or challenges that can come with injury or chronic conditions, and builds personalized treatment plans. Every patient receives tools, exercises, and strategies to self-manage at home, helping them regain function, reduce symptoms, and prevent future injuries.
A lifelong athlete, Ashley competed nationally and internationally in flatwater sprint paddling and dragon boat racing, and she is a proud member of Nakkertok Nordic ski club. Today, she continues to stay active through running, yoga, outdoor adventures, and travelling, while enjoying time with her young family.
