Avery was born and raised in Port Coquitlam and grew up playing hockey, soccer, and lacrosse — and he hasn't stopped, still playing rec hockey and volleyball most weeks. Working with the community he grew up in isn't a line for him; it's literally his neighbourhood.
He completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology at UBC in 2023, specializing in Neuromechanical and Physiological Sciences, on top of a Sports Science diploma from Douglas College. He's a member of the BC Association of Kinesiologists.
At Station, Avery runs our ICBC active rehab and return-to-sport programs, working hand-in-hand with your physiotherapist so your plan stays one plan. He builds structured, evidence-based exercise programs for people recovering from injury, athletes working back to their sport, and anyone who wants to move and feel better — and he works to understand what you actually want to get back to, then builds everything around that.
