AjouterAya is a Speech-Language Pathologist who supports preschool- and school-aged children across clinical and educational settings. She is passionate about helping children develop the communication skills they need to participate confidently at home, school, and in their communities.
Her clinical work includes assessing and treating speech sound disorders, language disorders, and complex communication needs through individualized and group intervention. Aya also provides AAC assessments, communication device programming, and support to help children, families, and educators successfully integrate communication systems into daily routines.

Aya values collaborative, family-centered care and works closely with caregivers, educators, and support teams to develop practical, evidence-based strategies that support meaningful communication. She enjoys coaching families and educators to help children build skills across the environments that matter most.
Based in Halifax, Aya provides speech-language therapy services for children and families in the clinic, community, and through collaborative consultation with caregivers and other professionals.

Free Hearing Screening for Children (OAE) We are pleased to offer free Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) hearing screenings for children. This quick, non-invasive screening checks how well your child’s inner ear (cochlea) is responding to sound and can help identify potential hearing concerns early. This option is ideal for parents who may have questions about their child’s hearing, speech, or overall development or who simply want reassurance. The screening takes only a few minutes and is suitable for infants, toddlers, and young children. Results are provided immediately, along with recommendations if follow-up is needed.
